Tour de Force - Middle East 9

April 1, 2008 to April 17, 2008

Seventeen days touring around the Middle East delivering entertainment to Aussies in eight different geographic locations. Twelve official concerts plus numerous informal gigs is enough to tire out any performer but the professionalism and dedication of the artists on this tour had to be seen to be believed.

From the initial arrival in the location, through the stress of the disappearing camel to setting up, performing then pulling down stages and repacking within 12 hours all members of this tour party did brilliantly. Congratulations to the Navy Band for such a great effort with the logistics and then performing a wonderful Blues Brothers show that was enjoyed by all.

And many thanks to the movers who made the tour possible, from the complexity of multiple pick up locations through to the scheduling of extra flights to cart us all around, it was a sterling effort.

All the artists found the tour to be tiring and very rewarding and from the feedback received in our comments book, the audiences really enjoyed the product we provided. From the artists, may I thank all the wonderful people they met and the fantastic audiences. Also thanks to all the people in country who hosted us, without your help we could not have provided the entertainment as well as we did.
